Sustain International is committed to making sustain-intl.com accessible to as wide an audience as possible, including people with disabilities.

Effective 30 April 2026 Version 1.0 WCAG 2.2 AA target

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

The site has been designed with accessibility in mind. Specific measures include:

Skip-to-content link for keyboard users
Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, footer, nav)
ARIA live regions for dynamic content (modal dialogs, form submission status)
Keyboard-accessible navigation, including modal close on Escape and focus restoration
Sufficient colour contrast (text-to-background ratios meeting AA thresholds)
Scalable type — text resizes without loss of function up to 200%
Respect for the user's reduced-motion preference
Form fields with associated labels and autocomplete attributes
Descriptive page titles and meta information
Alternative text for meaningful images and SVGs (decorative SVGs marked aria-hidden)

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where conformance may be partial or where we are still improving:

The visual diagrams shown in capability sample-output modals are stylised SVG illustrations. They include role and aria-label attributes describing their purpose, but the detailed numerical content within them is not currently exposed as structured text. We are working on full text alternatives.
Custom serif typefaces are used for display headings. If the typeface fails to load, fallback system fonts are used.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work on the latest two versions of all major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop and mobile. We test on screen readers including VoiceOver and NVDA.
